GROOVE & BASS FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE

Rhythmic Origins:
The Pulse Beneath the BASS

Groove & Bass sprouted in the summer of 2021 like a wildflower in the forest — unexpected, vibrant, and full of life. With just two months of dreaming and doing, we brought together a tribe of 500 kindred spirits beneath the canopy, united by rhythm, nature, and the call of the bass.

It wasn’t just an event. It was a gathering of roots and resonance. A place where beats echoed through the trees, feet danced on mossy ground, and strangers became family around fires and frequencies. That first edition planted the seed — and every year since, the forest remembers.

Groove & Bass is more than music. It’s a ritual. A return to the earth. A celebration of sound, spirit, and the sacred pulse that connects us all.

Our mission:
Grown in community, rooted in rhythmn

Our Mission: Rooted in Rhythm, Grown in Community

Groove & Bass is a living, breathing celebration of alternative art — a place where creativity runs wild and every voice is welcome. We exist to uplift artists from all walks of life, across every discipline, and give them a platform to share their truth in a universe that’s immersive, untamed, and deeply human.

Our gatherings are woven into the forest — not just physically, but spiritually. We honor the land, the people, and the pulse that connects us all. From sunrise sound baths to midnight bass rituals, from inclusive workshops to spontaneous fire-side jams, we cultivate spaces where everyone belongs. No matter your background, identity, or path, you are part of the mycelium — the underground network of connection and growth.

We believe in radical inclusivity, creative freedom, and the kind of chaos that births beauty. Groove & Bass is more than a festival. It’s a forest-born movement. A collective heartbeat. A return to the roots.

If you want, I can also help craft a shorter version for social media or a tagline that captures this essence in just a few words.

Groove & Bass:
The Second Bloom

After the wild seed of our first gathering took root, the second edition of Groove & Bass blossomed into something truly intentional. With a full year of visioning, planning, and deep collaboration, our crew cultivated a 7-day, 3-stage experience that pulsed with purpose and sonic diversity.

Set beneath the open sky and surrounded by nature’s embrace, we welcomed global artists from across the electronic spectrum — techno, psytrance, dubstep, drum & bass — each bringing their own flavor to the forest floor. It was a symphony of basslines and tree lines, where music met the elements and the dancefloor became sacred ground.

But Groove & Bass was never just about sound. It was a living ecosystem of creativity and connection. By day, the forest transformed into a sanctuary of workshops — breathwork, movement, permaculture, and sound healing — where wisdom flowed as freely as the wind. Art installations rose from the earth like ancient spirits: glowing sculptures, interactive spaces, and lantern-lit pathways that guided wanderers deeper into the magic.

Sanctuary of Sound & Soil

Since the beginning, Groove & Bass has been harbored on a gorgeous piece of land that traditionally belonged to the Algonquin people in Bryson, Québec. It is 3 hours from Montréal and 1 hour from Ottawa, Canada's capital.
